LEWISTON – The Manufacturers Association of Maine will hold a summit, Saving American Manufacturing, April 28-29 at the Ramada Inn, 490 Pleasant St., Lewiston.
Keynote speaker will be Michael P. Collins, president of MPC Management and author and national speaker. The summit is the first in a series on manufacturing.
Registration is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on April 28, with networking available from 6 to 7 p.m. The keynote address will begin at 7:15 p.m., followed by a question and answer period.
Registration on April 29 is limited to 60 business attendees and begins at 7 a.m., with a breakfast available.
The workshop from 8 a.m. to noon is stitled Finding Strategies to Grow a Manufacturing Company. It will be a how-to workshop for manufacturers where they can learn practical strategies and processes to help grow and compete.
Cost for the evening session alone is $75 for MAMe members, $90 for nonmembers; for both days, the cost is $145 and $175.
A copy of Collins’ book, “The Manufacturer’s Guide to Business Marketing,” is included in the cost.
