PORTLAND – Larry D. Pelletier of Scarborough, a certified financial planner with more than 20 years of experience in wealth management and investing, has joined Bigelow Investment Advisors, LLC, of Portland, as a senior vice president. He will concentrate on advising individual, business and nonprofit clients throughout the region.

Pelletier grew up in Lewiston, where he also previously managed a TD Banknorth Wealth Management office for several years, serving clients throughout central Maine. In addition, he held a similar post in Bangor, where he developed strong business ties in that community and throughout Aroostook County.

He received his Certified Financial Planner designation in 1987 from the College of Financial Planning in Denver. The CFP designation requires continuing education and credits in the study of investments, insurance, taxes, retirement planning and estate planning. He also attended Gordon College from 1968 to 1972.

He has been involved as a volunteer or board member at the Good Shepherd Food-Bank, Maine Music Society, United Way of Androscoggin Valley, United Way of Penobscot Valley, and the Rural Community Action Ministry.
