DRESDEN (AP) – A 15-year-old Massachusetts girl has lost her life in an all-terrain vehicle accident in Dresden, Maine.
The Maine Warden Service says Chelsea Ponte of Westport was riding a four-wheeler in a field off Route 128 on Sunday when she came upon a rough stretch of terrain and hit a tree. Warden Sgt. John Blagdon said Ponte was not wearing a helmet.
Blagdon said speed was not a factor.
