FORT KENT (AP) – After a nasty winter, residents of northern Maine have kept a sense of humor about the mounds of snow that piled up.
In Fort Kent, a precision snow shovel drill team joined 100 plow trucks, snowblowers, tractors, graders, sand trucks in an offbeat parade over the weekend.
Saturday’s event was billed as the “first World’s Largest Snow Plow Parade.”
The National Weather Service doesn’t keep official statistics for Fort Kent. But nearly 200 inches of snow fell 40 miles to the south in Caribou.
