PORTLAND – Tom Peaco, executive director of Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine, has announced that Ellen W. Curtiss and Jim Bartlett have been named to the board of directors for Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine.

The 13 volunteers on the board are responsible for providing financial and procedural guidance to the chapter, which grants wishes to children throughout the state living with life-threatening medical conditions.

Curtiss is a Maine native, born in Houlton. She received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Husson College in 1983.

She began her career in banking in 1989 with the Finance Authority of Maine. She joined Camden National four year ago and is a vice president and commercial banking officer in the Farmington Branch.

Curtiss is a graduate of Husson College and is active in the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, Greater Franklin Development Corp., Kingfield POPs and Farmington Rotary Club.

She was also a past president of the United Way of the Tri-Valley Area and serves on the board of directors of the Greater Franklin Development Corp. and the Kingfield POPS and is a Farmington Rotary Club member. She has served on many other boards and committees over the years. Curtis and her husband, Jim, reside in New Sharon.

Bartlett is an attorney living and working in York, where he’s been practicing since 1987.
