Alicia Regan of Auburn and her sister Jordan Macomber, 5, participate in the March of Dimes March for Babies in Lewiston on Sunday morning. Between 350 and 400 people walked during the fundraiser, said Shelley Stone, nurse manager at Central Maine Medical Center. Macomber was born nine weeks premature and suffers from cerebral palsy. Her twin sister Jamie died at birth. March of Dimes was founded in 1938 to find a cure for polio. The March for Babies campaign currently raises money to fund research and education programs to prevent premature births.
