CareerCenter employment and training orientation is held Mondays from 10 to 11 a.m. It is an explanation of training programs and career exploration. The program provides a brief introduction to the Wilton Career Center services.
CareerCenter and job search orientation is held Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to noon. This is to find out what services and resources the Wilton CareerCenter offers. Attendees can also become registered for the CareerCenter job matching system at the end of the workshop.
“Preparing Your Résumé for Online Applications” is held Thursdays from 1 to 3 p.m. This is intended to help people format a résumé so it can be attached to an on-line application.
“Job Search” will be held May 9 from 9 to 11 a.m. for people looking for full-time work. Offered by Women, Work and Community.
“Ability Profiler” will be offered May 9 from 9 a.m. to noon. This is a career exploration tool. Results can be used to identify strengths for which more training/education is needed, and to identify occupations that fit their strengths.
“MEOC 101 – Essentials of College Planning” is offered May 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This includes instructions on filling out financial aid forms to assist people in getting the maximum amount in grants or loans. Those interested must pre-register by calling 1-800-281-3703.
“Resume Writing,” will be offered May 16 from 9 to 11 a.m. A résumé and cover letter is a reflection of knowledge, skills and abilities.
“Ace That Interview!” will be offered May 23 from 9 to 11 a.m.
