• A Jeep driven by John J. Shanahan, 63, of Sabattus, struck the back of a car driven by Patricia A. Freve, 55, of Lewiston, while Freve was stopped in traffic at 9:40 a.m. Thursday on Sabattus Street at East Avenue. The impact forced Freve’s car into another driven by Judith A. Milbert, 65, of Greene, who was also stopped in traffic. Damage to Milbert’s 1991 Geo was estimated at $800; to Freve’s 2007 Kia, $1,500 and to Shanahan’s 1994 Jeep, $800.

• Vehicles driven by Laurier W. Lefebvre, 60, of Lewiston, and Eugene R. Gagne, 56, of Greene, collided at 6:50 p.m. Thursday at College Street and Stetson Road. According to a police report, Lefebvre failed to stop at a stop sign on Stetson Road and drove into the path of Gagne’s vehicle as it traveled on College Street. Damage to Lefebvre’s 1997 Honda was estimated at $2,500; to Gagne’s 2001 Chevrolet, $500.
