GREENE – A trike-a-thon benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, May 16, at Stepping Stones Early Learning Center Inc., 301 Sawyer Road.
The volunteer coordinators are Amanda Leclerc and Pamela Wright, who invite everyone to participate to raise funds for the pediatric cancer research center.
The children here at Stepping Stones will ride their bikes on a course set up by the staff at Stepping Stones. The ages of the children will range from 2 to 5. The children and their parents, as well a center staff, are collecting money from anyone in the community who would like to sponsor a child.
Anyone who wishes to do so may contact Leclerc or Wright at the center.
“Our goal in holding this event is to help the children of the world who are stricken with diseases like cancer, AIDS, sickle cell disease and other catastrophic diseases,” said Leclerc.
