Youths assist shelter

SUMNER – The youth of the Congregational Church of East Sumner, UCC, recently went on a mission trip to the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society animal shelter in Lewiston.

The children donated cat and dog food and treats, collars, leashes, towels and other items to help care for the animals. They will also sponsor an ad to adopt an animal.

After lunch at Pizza Hut, the group visited friends at the Clover Manor Living Center and sang for them. The youth were accompanied by Sunday school and youth group leaders.
