LIVERMORE – David L. Pulsifer, 72, of Boothby Road, Livermore, died unexpectedly following a long illness late Thursday evening at his home.
He was born on May 18, 1935, in Lewiston, the son of Clyde and Maude (Safford) Pulsifer. He was a graduate of Leavitt Institute in Turner.
On June 29, 1957, he married Janice Mae Marble of Lewiston.
Dave worked for Oscar Turner Farms and later started Pulsifer Wholesale Trucking, delivering throughout the state.
Dave enjoyed hunting and fishing and all sports – Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics. If it was sports, he liked it. Dave was a real “people person,” and will be missed by those who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Janice, of Livermore; a daughter, Donna Gagnon and her husband, Robert, of Livermore; his son, Scott and his wife, Karen, of Canby, Ore.; four grandchildren, Stacey and Thomas Gagnon, and Jason and Sami Pulsifer; one great-grandchild, Aiden Yeaney; six brothers and their wives, Ted and Glenice Pulsifer of Leeds, Robert and Beth Pulsifer of Livermore, Jerry and Jean Pulsifer of Turner, James and Mary Pulsifer of Peru, Howard and Pat Pulsifer of Chicago, Ill., and Barry and Linda Pulsifer of Augusta; four sisters, Edith Little and her husband, John, of Leeds, Janice Holmes and her husband, James, of Greene, Joanne Ricker and her husband, Donald, of Turner, and Marilyn Bates of Canton, Mo.; and two sisters-in-law, Missie Pulsifer of Frederickson, Va., and Pat and her husband, Don Schoppe, of Auburn.
He was predeceased by his son, Dan Pulsifer, on April 6, 1979; and two brothers, Steve and Richard Pulsifer.
