MIDDLEBURY, Vt. (AP) – Police say two days of underwater searching of the Otter Creek turned up no sign of missing Middlebury College student Nicholas Garza.
Teams from the Saranac, N.Y., Fire Department Technical Rescue Team and the Middlebury Fire Department searched large fields of debris in the river with probes and underwater camera equipment.
Middlebury Police Chief Tom Hanley says officials are going to continue taking aerial pictures of the river in hopes of spotting something that can lead them to Garza.
The 19-year-old Middlebury College freshman was last seen Feb. 5 when he left a campus party. No trace of him has been found since.
