OES meeting

LISBON FALLS – Pioneer Chapter 11, Order of the Eastern Star, will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at the Ancient York Masonic Hall, Route 196. Past matrons and past patrons will be honored. Refreshments will follow the meeting. All members of the order are invited.

Seniors to meet

AUBURN – Robin Dow Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, at the Alden M. Gayton Post 31, American Legion, 426 Washington St. The board of directors will meet at 10 a.m. There will be the usual raffle table. A bag lunch will be followed by bingo.

Sixty-four members were present at the April 23 meeting led by past president Merry Strout, in the absence of the president, Virginia Houston. Welcomed back from their winter stay in Florida were Lee and Kaye Koss, Pam Carrier and her mother, Florence Webber, Shirley Theriet, and Birdena Whittle, recovering from a recent fall at her home.

Past president Merry Strout reported trip chairwoman Evelyn Sawin had filled the trip to Foster Lobster House in York on June 13 and has a waiting list available for seats. Sawin will be at the May 14 meeting, and will also receive payment from those signed up and have yet to pay.

Attendance prize winners were Marion Drapeau and Lucy Cowles; pot of gold, Beverly Lashua, Helen Stelmok and Alwin Strout.
