Benefit dance

NORWAY – A benefit dance will be held from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at Charlie’s Entertainment Center, Main Street. Proceeds will benefit Michael Levesque of Bethel, who had a bone marrow transplant. Donations will be accepted. Admission is $3 and entertainment will be by a DJ.

Lyme disease

PARIS – A Lyme disease support group meets every Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hope and Healing Center, 52 High St. For more information, contact Tracy Poland at 674-3781.

Society meeting

WEST PARIS – The West Paris Historical Society will meet Monday, May 19, at the hall for a regular potluck supper at 6 p.m. Members will discuss the Old Home Days weekend and the baked bean supper on Friday, June 13. A decision has to be made on an opportunity to apply for a grant that is available and other summer articles. Anyone wanting to join is welcome. For more information, call Betty Jones at 674-2507.

Window planning

OTISFIELD – The memorial stained glass window that is to be installed in memory of the Rev. Gertrude DeCoteau at the East Otisfield Free Baptist Church, Rayville Road, is near completion.

Plans are being made to announce the date on which the window will be installed within the next two or three weeks.

Anyone interested in contributing may send checks to the church at Post Office Box 680, Oxford, ME 04270.

Extension sale

HEBRON – The East Hebron Extension Homemakers will hold a yard sale at the McCaffety’s Greenhouse, Townsend Road, East Hebron, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 31, rain or shine.

Items will include fabric, supplies for many types of crafting projects and a variety of other items. Snacks and baked goods will also be available.

Moneys raised will help support community projects.
