Critter challenge winners announced
GREENE – Androscoggin Grange 8 challenged residents of Greene to get out and have some fun in the snow during the fourth annual Snow Critter Challenge. There were six entries in the contest for people of all ages.
Those who made the snow critters ranged from age 4 to 44. Grange members decided the winners. All critters were judged without knowing who made them.
The prize winners were chosen as follows:
First place of $50 went to Mert and Carol Buzzell for their rooster.
Second went to Carol Buzzell and Cassidy Bubier for their “Double Trouble Snowmen.” Their prize was two movies ticket.
Taking third were Peter and Marcia Jolicoeur. They made a “Snow Lady.” The prize was a large pizza.
The Snow Critter Challenge was originally started by Cindy Morin to challenge people to get outside and have fun in the snow while working in some physical activity.
All critter pictures can be viewed at the Androscoggin Grange Hall on Main Street.
The fifth annual Snow Critter Challenge will take place from Feb. 1 to April 1 next winter.
