Flower show
PARIS – The 32nd annual Median Iris and Spring Flower Show will be held from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, May 24, at Oxford Hills Middle School, South Paris.
It is open to the public and admission is free. The show is being sponsored by the Maine Iris Society.
Church worship
PARIS – Trinity Lutheran Church, 34 Buckfield Road, South Paris, will celebrate the second Sunday after Pentecost on May 25. Sunday school for children and the adult class will start at 9 a.m. with worship at 10:15 a.m. After that, there will be coffee, refreshments and fellowship. Wednesday Bible study will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. May 28 with refreshments following. All are welcome.
School yard sale
OTISFIELD – The annul Otisfield Community School yard sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 24 and 25, at Community Hall, Route 121. Donations for the yard sale can be dropped off on Friday after 3 p.m. at the hall.
Flea market
WEST PARIS – A flea market and craft fair will be held on Saturday, June 7, at the West Paris Grange Hall, Church Street, West Paris Village. It will include a flea market, crafts and bake sales and luncheon.
Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. For table rental, call 674-3241. It is being sponsored by the West Paris Grange.
Awards pins
HARRISON – The VFW Auxiliary Post 932 awarded 40-year anniversary pins on May 7 to Mildred Davis, Fanny Fleck, Elizabeth Goss, Beverly Martin, Althea Pike, Frances Rolfe, Reta St. John and Carolyn Wentworth; 35-year pins, Viola Hazelton, Linda Moynihan, Ruth O’Brien and Wanda May.
Garden club meet
BUCKFIELD – The Buckfield Garden Club will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, at the home of Mary Jones, 15 North Hill Road. Barbara Murphy of the Oxford Extension Service will be the speaker. Everyone is welcome.
