Hospital’s appeal gets board support

RUMFORD – Every member of Rumford Hospital’s board has given a gift to the 2007-2008 Annual Appeal. And all have increased their gifts in this special year when appeal monies are earmarked to equip and furnish the new consolidated patient unit and operating room.

“I’m glad to be able to announce this full board support,” said Jolan Ippolito, board chairwoman. “Not every hospital can claim such financial backing from its board members.”

The appeal stands at $68,735 toward a goal of $100,000. With a month and a half to go until the appeal year ends on June 30, members of the board and Development Committee are reaching out to people who have given in the past but have not yet donated this year.

“We have also done a special appeal to the contractors who are working on the new wing,” said Ippolito.

For more information about the appeal, call Rumford Hospital community relations at 369-1143.
