PARIS – With an extra day added for good measure, McLaughlin Garden will kick off its 11th annual Lilac Festival this weekend.

The festival takes place Friday through Monday at the historic Main Street garden. It is sponsored in part by Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice and Liberty Mutual.

Lilacs and perennials will be on sale throughout the weekend, and the 1840 barn and home of Bernard McLaughlin will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Garden tours will be offered at 11 a.m., noon and 2 p.m., and lilac care workshops at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

A $5 donation is requested.
