RS Fireworks in Hudson, N.H., is providing the fireworks for the Twin Cities’ Liberty Festival this year. Calls to the company weren’t returned, but the festival’s Pete Bushway said he doesn’t think there will be a problem.

“I believe they’re using Italian fireworks instead of Chinese,” said Bushway, who works for the Auburn Parks and Recreation Department.

The company’s Web site shows three events for the Fourth of July: L-A’s, North Conway, N.H., and Canobie Lake Park.

Several western Maine towns planning fireworks displays that were contacted by the Sun Journal said their fireworks contractors have inventory, and also anticipate no problems for the Fourth.
