LIVERMORE FALLS – In the bottom of the seventh inning, after two walks and two strikeouts, Kayla Wilson smacked a two-run single to give Livermore Falls a come-from-behind win over Mountain Valley 3-2 in softball Friday.

Whitney McDaniel tallied the first run for the Andies (6-7) off a triple in the sixth to tie the contest up.

Shelby Moore took the loss for the Falcons (2-11), but had a solid performance on the mound, racking up 11 Ks. Moore also hit a triple and scored a run.

Cony 4, Lewiston 1

AUGUSTA – Cony capitalized on an error and an RBI single by Liz Barker to pull away from a deadlocked 1-1 game in the bottom of the sixth inning to record three runs, and post a 4-1 win over Lewiston on Friday.

Megan Cloutier had a pair of hits for the Rams (11-2).

Lewiston’s (10-3) lone run was scored by Lyndsay Smith off a Michelle Caron double.

Telstar 10, Mt. Abram 2

SALEM – Julia Stambolis and Hannah Morin each smacked a pair of hits a piece to pace Telstar to a 10-2 win over Mt. Abram Friday afternoon.

Kayla Merrill earned the win, going the distance. For Mt. Abram, Rachel Fullerton hit two singles.

Fryeburg 12, Yarmouth 0

FRYEBURG – Hannah Hill struck out seven batters and threw a one-hitter as Fryeburg Academy (11-1) coasted to a 12-0 victory over Yarmouth (5-7) in softball Friday.

The Raiders erupted with four runs in the second inning and piled on another six in the fifth and final inning.

Jacqui Bell doubled and Jen Mercier drove had three RBIs. Brylie Walker scored the last run of the game on a hard-hit ball by catcher Heather Tripp.

Georges Valley 17, Jay 3

THOMASTON – Brittany Worcester blasted a bases-clearing double in the sixth inning as Georges Valley recorded a 17-3 routing of Jay in MVC softball. Ashley Geel recorded five RBIs off two singles, while Erin Judkins contributed a pair of hits and a pair of runs as well. Worcester would end the contest for the undefeated Buccaneers (12-0) with two hits and four runs. Danielle Frye earned the win, striking out seven batters in the process.

Betsy Gemelli had a double for the Tigers (8-5).

Oxford Hills 10, Morse 9

SOUTH PARIS – Mindy Rugg’s one-out triple in the bottom of the sixth inning drove in the eventual winning run as Oxford Hills earned a 10-9 victory over Morse in a KVAC softball game Friday.

The Vikings (8-5) trailed 9-8 entering the bottom of the sixth. Following a lead-off single by Caitlyn Hanley (four hits), Meagan Gauger tied the game with a long, RBI triple to deep right-centerfield, her third run driven in on the day. Rugg followed with her game-winning hit to right to make a winner of reliever Kristy Jurczek (nine strikeouts).

Catcher Ally Rodriguez had a pair of doubles and three RBIs for the Shipbuilders. Meagan Hennessey suffered the loss.

Oak Hill 4, Waterville 3

WALES – Julia Dyer hit a blooper over the head of the Waterville shortstop, which was just enough to bring home Kadie Rodrigue to score the game-winning run, as Oak Hill topped Waterville 4-3.

Rodrigue reached on a walk before Becca Belaire singled. Both Rodrigue and Belaire advanced on a passed-ball before Dyer’s hit. Dyer finished the game with two hits and three RBIs for the Raiders (8-3).

Brittany Lock smacked a two-run triple in the fourth inning for Waterville (7-5).

Monmouth 9, Wiscasset 0

MONMOUTH – Moe Beaulieu made several key catches in the outfield to serve her team defensively, cementing Monmouth’s 9-0 shutout over Wiscasset.

Brittany Hilton tossed the one-hitter and earned the win for the Mustangs (11-2). Alyssa Morin and Beth Neal each had a pair of hits.

Leavitt 6, EL 3

AUBURN – Paige Dyer doubled in the eventual game-winner as Leavitt topped Edward Little 6-3 in KVAC softball action Friday.

Danielle Miller registered two hits and two runs, while Heidi Swett cracked a double a triple for two RBIs in the Hornets’ (3-10) winning effort.

Emily Grund had a triple, a single and crossed the plate once for the Red Eddies (4-9).
