FARMINGTON – A new guide to the downtown area is available.

The Farmington Downtown Business and Professional Association’s guide is intended to promote the new walking tour that highlights stories and themes from the town’s history.

Local talent was used to design, develop and print the guide. It includes an aerial map, a 3D model of the downtown and a detailed guide of services, things to do, stores and more.

The guide is a collaboration of local businesses. The Maine Community Foundation, Farmington Downtown Business and Professional Association and the town provided funding for the guide. Several other businesses contributed time and energy in the guide’s development.

The map will be available at kiosks around the state and at downtown businesses, local lodgings and the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce office.
