Dear Sun Spots: On Feb. 16, I mailed an order for 1 Deluxe Coupon Organizer with a money order for $10.99 to a company named Hannah Hansen. I do not have Internet so someone checked for me Hannah Hansen’s Web site in April, which stated there were medical issues and the company would fulfill all remaining orders. They would be selling the company or closing down. On May 12, a friend sent an e-mail to the company and it was rejected saying that the hotmail account was closed. There was no phone number listed and the money order has not been cashed as of May 12. I would like my product or the money back; if I cancel the money order it would cost me double. Is there any possible way Sun Spots can help me with the problem or am I out $10.99? – No Name, Jay.

Answer:
Unfortunately, Sun Spots did not receive a response from the Customer Care department at the Hannah Hansen company, and because they are a mail order company, they do not have a phone number. We suggest writing it with your information at Hannah Hansen, 2901 West Pico Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90006. You can also reach them through e-mail at CustomerCare@hannahhansen.com. Be sure to include your zip code, last name and telephone number in your correspondence.

Dear Sun Spots: Please help locate a “Kathy Ricci.” I have some of her medical and personal slides. I also have found the hoods to two L.L. Bean jackets that someone bought at my yard sale last year (one purple, one blue hood). And also, have found wood dollhouse parts from an older style dollhouse that was also sold at the garage sale. Hopefully these people will want these items and can call 784-8111. Thank you very much. – Jean, Lewiston.

Dear Sun Spots: Awhile back I purchased Cinch, the best liquid glass cleaner I ever used, and it contains no phosphate. Now I cannot find it anywhere. I called the company, Spic and Span, and they said I could only purchase it online or by mail order. Why? More lately I purchased Greased Lightning, a good spot cleaner and all-round cleaner by A&M Cleaning products. Now I cannot find that in the stores!

Why do they discontinue these great cleaning products? Or am I just not looking in the right stores? Thanks for all you do for the public! – No name, No Town.

Answer: Sun Spots corresponded with a Consumer Affairs representative for Spic and Span who said they make their products available to all distributors, but unfortunately, some stores choose only to carry those products that produce the highest sales. She suggests asking your local store manager to order it for you. They do not sell their products directly to consumers, so the only other option is to purchase it via mail order from a company called Teebop. You can order online at www.teebop.com or call 1-800-667-4860.

Sun Spots also finds Greased Lightning at Wal-Mart, usually at the end of the cleaning aisle. According to the product Web site, it is still distributed to the Lewiston and Auburn Hannaford and Shaw’s stores. Also, check out your local Family Dollar, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Target or True Value for this product. You should be able to find it at one of these stores.

Dear Sun Spots: A tip to the ladies who asked about Postum. Most health food stores carry other caffeine-free beverages. One I like is Roma and another is Pero. Both are instant and 100% caffeine free and contain roasted barley and chicory.

I loved the flavor of teeccino but found it expensive. I use 2 heaping teaspoons of Roma to have it strong enough. Love your column! – G.P., Farmington.
