TOPSHAM – Taryn Kennedy belted a two-run single as Mt. Blue erupted with three runs in the seventh inning and slipped away with a 4-3 victory over Mt. Ararat in softball action Tuesday.

The Cougars (4-12) were down 2-1 heading into the seventh inning. Mt. Blue’s Hannah Allen hammered out three hits, including a double, and scored two runs.

Katrina Campbell took the mound in the fourth inning and got the win for the Cougars.

Lewiston 9, Lawrence 4

LEWISTON – Maria Labbe drove in three runs with a pair of singles to lead Lewiston to a 9-4 victory over Lawrence in a regular-season softball finale.

Labbe followed three walks with a two-run single to spark a five-run outburst in the first inning.

After an RBI single in the fourth, Lyndsay Smith ripped a two-run triple for the Devils (13-3).

Pitcher Danielle Willey, who helped the offense with a pair of singles, scattered five hits for the victory.

Hampden 10, Leavitt 3

TURNER – Lacey Littlefield scattered six hits and enjoyed ample run support as Hampden rolled to a 10-3 victory over Leavitt in a regular-season softball finale Tuesday.

Brittany Luetjen led the Broncos (11-5) with a grand slam home run in the first inning. Michelle Wells also contributed with two hits.

The Hornets (4-12) were led by Paige Dyer and Heidi Swett with two hits each, while Brittany Nelson belted a double.

Alevia Bradley was tagged with her ninth loss of the season.

Hall-Dale 12, Dirigo 3

DIXFIELD – Hall-Dale took advantage of walks, several key errors and good base running to overpower Dirigo (3-12) with a 12-3 victory in softball action Tuesday afternoon.

The score was tied 2-2 going into the second inning when the Bulldogs (12-3) went on a scoring rampage in every inning except the fourth.

Jocelyn Tripp got the win on the mound for Hall-Dale. There were no extra hits or repeat hitters in the game.

Brewer 7, EL 2

AUBURN – Brewer (15-1) used six key hits and committed no errors as the Witches left Edward Little spellbound with a 7-2 victory in softball action Tuesday.

The Red Eddies had 11 hits but could only put two runs together.

For EL (5-11), Emily Grund had three hits, including a double, and scored a run and earned an RBI.

Losing pitcher Alyssa Levesque had three hits and catcher Becca Witten had two hits.
