I urge all real Democrats to vote for Elaine Makas, who has been actively involved in the Democratic Party for almost 40 years. She has a proven track record from her past six years of public service in the Maine House of Representatives. She championed legislation and fought for causes vitally important to Lewiston constituents, and Mainers as a whole.

Among other causes, those included keeping Casella from taking control of Lewiston’s landfill, preserving the water quality standards of the Androscoggin River, and leading the fight to restore funding to Lewiston’s public schools.
