SUMNER – Sunday school will end at the Congregational Church of East Sumner, UCC, on Sunday, June 8. Bibles and certificates will be given out during the worship service and the youth will sing. Following the church service and Sunday school class, there will be a hike and picnic to the falls behind the church.

Members of the Youth Group will lead youth activities for summer Sundays from 9 to 10 a.m. for the rest of the summer. Activities will include planting a garden beside the church and building a float for the Buckfield Labor Day parade.

On June 14, the youth will have a bottle drive to benefit the Pilgrim Lodge youth scholarships. Bottles may be dropped off at the Sumner Town Office and the back deck at the church.

On July 12, the Sunday school will hold a church parking lot yard sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to benefit Pilgrim Lodge scholarships. Crafters are invited to rent a 10 x 10 table space for $10. To reserve a space, call Lisa at 388-2446 or Peggy at 388-2074.
