CLAREMONT, N.H. (AP) – A 16-year-old Claremont, New Hampshire, boy has drowned in the Sugar River.

Claremont police say Karl Collise went under the water while swimming with friends and failed to resurface about 6:30 p.m. Saturday. Rescuers pulled him from the water and tried to resuscitate him. He was later pronounced dead.

Police are trying to determine what caused the accident.
