BUCKFIELD – Voters here endorsed the $7 million fiscal 2009 SAD 39 budget 150-130 on Tuesday.

The $7,029,073.06 spending plan is $123,060 above this year’s budget.

Buckfield will pay $667,117.50 of that while Hartford will be assessed $604,565 and Sumner, $356,320.

In the municipal election, Floyd Richardson Jr. defeated Roger Bennett 176-80 for a selectman’s seat. Maida Demers-Dobson and Jerald Wiley were elected to the SAD 39 board.

Write-ins for assessor were Floyd Richardson Jr. with 14 votes.

The annual town meeting is at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Buckfield High School gymnasium.
