PERU – In a town meeting referendum this week, voters approved a municipal budget for the year 2008-09 of $585,900, which is an increase of $51,794 over 2007. All 46 articles on the warrant passed.

Voters elected Edward “Joe” Roach as road commissioner for three years with 116 votes. Maurice Grann received 56 votes and Daniel Noyes received 108. Corey Jacques and Laurieann Milligan were re-elected to the Board of Selectmen. William Hussey we re-elected fire chief.
