Dear Sun Spots: This is in response to Jean, South Paris. I found the song she is looking for. The name of it is “La Legende des Flots Bleus.” She may call me at 784-4956 if she wants more information. – No Name, Lewiston.

Dear Sun Spots: Jean from South Paris wanted the words to a song. The actual title is “La légende des Flots Bleus.” The Franco-American Collection at USM-Lewiston-Auburn has a copy of the complete song. The refrain mentioned goes like this: “Petits enfants, prenez garde aux flots bleus Qui font semblants de se plaire à vos yeux Les flots berceurs font pleurer bien des yeux, Petits enfants, dormez dans les flots bleus!” For more information, call me at 753-6545. – Donat Boisvert, Franco-American Collection.

Many thanks to Florence Rose Martin who also brought in the music and lyrics to this song for Jean in South Paris. Also, to the other unnamed readers who dropped off or mailed in lyrics to the Sun Journal office.

Dear Sun Spots: I saw your question and answer about a “shower ring.” Perhaps you are thinking it attaches to the shower head, but it does not. It is all plastic, it stretches, it has a hole in the middle that you put your head into, and a wide brim like a “Stetson” will cause the water to run right off when you bend over a sink or stand in the shower. Call it a shampoo ring.

My mother used to use them all the time as she had to be careful of her eyes, but I have not seen them in the local stores for some time. – No Name, No Town.
