LEWISTON – Three major events will be celebrated on Sunday, June 29, Feast Day, at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.

The day will begin with Mass at 10 a.m., thanking God for the Rev. Robert Lariviere’s 30 years of priesthood and his nine years as pastor and rector of the Basilica.

Following the Mass, the Volunteer(s) of the Year will be named and the unveiling of the commemorative Book of Donors to the church restoration campaigns will take place.

The celebration will continue with a farewell luncheon for Lariviere at noon, with the opportunity for all to offer their best wishes on his new assignment and to congratulate the Volunteer(s) of the Year.

Following the luncheon there will be a short program that will include musical entertainment.
