PORTLAND (AP) – One of the 10 seniors who were spared criminal prosecution after vandalizing the Cape Elizabeth High School is already back in trouble.
Authorities say one of the 10 violated terms of a contract with the district attorney within days of signing the agreement.
District Attorney Stephanie Anderson says the 18-year-old was caught violating curfew and restrictions on consuming alcohol. She says that by violating the agreement, the young man will now be prosecuted for the vandalism at the high school.
The vandals caused an estimated $10,000 in damage to the school during the March 24 incident and classes had to be canceled for a day.
