Dear Sun Spots: We had help from you before. Thank you. I had a phone given to me. SONY SPP A973. I cannot find out who in Lewiston-Auburn area have these on the selling area so I can try to get the instructions on how to operate it. Thank you for your help. – No Name, Lewiston.

Answer:
A spokesperson from Sony gave us two options for obtaining the manual. If you have access to the Internet, you can download a copy of the manual from the Sony Web site. Go to http://esupport.sony.com/ and click on “Manuals, Specs, Warranty.” At the next screen, enter the model number of your phone and you will be able to download the user manual to print out.

The second option is to order it from the parts department, and a spokesperson said the cost is around $5. To order it from the parts department, call customer service at 1-800-488-7669.

Dear Sun Spots: In response to No Name, Auburn, who is interested in volunteering. I coordinate the Senior Companion Program in the Lewiston/Auburn area. At this time there is a great need for more companions. The program, sponsored by the University of Maine Cooperative Extension, offers the opportunity for volunteers to spend 15-20 hours a week providing companionship and support for homebound/isolated adults. Volunteers who are income qualified earn a small stipend, reimbursement for mileage and other benefits. Companions agree that the most important benefit is knowing that they have made a difference in the life of another. For more information please call Anna at 1-800-287-1482. Thank you for caring. – Anna, South Paris.

Dear Sun Spots: I am an above-knee amputee. I am wondering if any Sun Spots readers have an exercise bike they are no longer using. I am learning how to walk with a prosthetic leg and this would help me tremendously. I would be able to pick it up in the Lewiston-Auburn area. I may be reached at 777-3886. Thanks in advance. – C.S., Lewiston.
