Circle supper
PARIS – The Ladies Circle, First Congregational Church, will sponsor a baked bean supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 27. Menu will include baked beans, casseroles, salads, hot dogs, brown bread, homemade rolls and homemade pies. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Suppers are also planned for July 25 and Aug. 29.
Radio field day
OXFORD – Oxford County Amateur Radio Emergency Service/Community Emergency Response Team will participate in the Ham Radio Field Day from 2 p.m. Saturday, June 28, to 2 p.m. Sunday, June 29, at His Place Teen Center, 254 Webber Brook Road.
The field day is designed to encourage amateur radio operators to set up their equipment in a temporary location to develop their emergency communication skills. The free event is open to the public. For more information, call Brad at 557-8460.
Planning meeting
NEW VINEYARD – The New Vineyard Historical Society will hold a special planning and organizing meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, in the historical room.
Plans are on-going to exhibit old-time artifacts at Farmington Fair in the Historical House.
Anyone who has anything of that nature they would be willing to loan for fair week is asked to call 652-2252 or 652-2254 to make arrangements to take it to the historical room or for pick-up.
Blood drive
FARMINGTON – The American Red Cross will conduct a Red Sox Nation blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday, July 3, at Franklin Memorial Hospital.
All blood donors will receive a free limited edition Red Sox Nation T-shirt and will be eligible to win two tickets to a Boston Red Sox game at Fenway Park.
Donors may give blood through the Red Cross every eight weeks.
Eligible donors must be at least age 17, weigh 110 pounds or more and be in good health.

Buggy program
MEXICO – The Mexico Public Library is hosting a special program at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, as part of the “Terrific Tuesdays” summer program for kids.
Amanda White will present an informative program about aquatic bugs in an interactive, hands-on presentation on bugs that live in the water.
The program is for kids ages 5 to 12. For kids ages 5 and under, a “Bugs” story and craft hour will be held at 10 a.m.
Stories about bugs and insects will be read, then children will work on a theme-related take-home craft.

Summer hours
DIXFIELD – The Dirigo High School Guidance Office will be closed Thursday, June 26, to Monday, Aug. 11.
The athletic director’s office will be closed July 10 to 23 and Fridays from June 27 to Aug. 8.
The main/principal’s office will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and closed Fridays, June 27 to Aug. 8. The school number is 562-4251.
