MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) – A Manchester, New Hampshire, man has been charged with cutting copper pipes from a vacant house.

Police say they found 23-year-old Matt Storey early Monday with a duffel bag of pipes near a home where copper piping had been removed.

A neighbor called police shortly before 6 a.m. to report seeing a man with copper leaving the vacant house. Police say the homeowner is in a nursing home.

Copper has been attracting high prices as scrap.
