PARIS – The chairman and co-chairman of the Planning Board were re-elected Tuesday night.

Russell Case was elected chairman and Robert Kirchherr was elected as co-chairman, both by 4-3 votes.

Case and Al Atkinson were nominated for the chairman’s position. Franca Ainsworth nominated Kirchherr for the chairmanship as well, but the motion was not seconded. Case, Kirchherr, Ainsworth and alternate member Jean Smart voted for Case, while Atkinson, Jackie Young and alternate member Ron Fitts voted for Atkinson.

Kirchherr and Atkinson were both nominated for the co-chairman’s position, and Kirchherr was elected by the same four who chose Case.
