We also corresponded with Joyce Houk, a former 40 year adviser with Friendly Toys & Gifts. According to Joyce, the company “went out of business Dec. 31, 2007. The main reason was shipping charges were too high and they were not making a profit. I guess this happened to a lot of businesses last year. All credits were to be turned in before the end of January when the staff was leaving.” She still has her Web site where she sells some merchandise, but the supply is limited. WWE notes that due to the high volume of mail received, they cannot guarantee a response. They also ask that you do not send anything of value to be signed by the stars.

Vickie Guerrero is the widow of professional wrestler Eddie Guerrero. She currently works for WWE SmackDown as a general manager. She has also made appearances at different venues in memory of her husband such as collecting The Star of the Mountain Award in Eddie’s hometown, El Paso, Texas, and speaking on WWE.com about Eddie’s induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Cherry made her debut as a WWE SmackDown Diva on Jan. 19, 2007.

Theodore (Teddy) Long is a former professional wrestling referee and manager, who is currently working for WWE SmackDown as the general manager.

Dear Sun Spots: On Saturday, June 28, Cote’s Sewing & Fabric Center will be hosting a Blanket Day Event for Project Linus. Whether you sew, crochet, knit or just want to help, all are invited to join us for a fun day of blanket making for the children of our community.
