WATERFORD – Waterford World’s Fair will hold a fundraiser event on Saturday, June 28, on the Waterford Fairgrounds, Green Road.

A Chinese auction with items donated from area businesses will open with a preview at 11 a.m. and the auction will begin at 1 p.m. A yard sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and there will be hot dogs and hamburgers in the snack shack.

A saddle horse show will start at 9 a.m., with a training clinic to follow in the afternoon and a presentation on properly feeding a horse. Also starting at 9 will be a demonstration in steer pulling and at 2 p.m., horse pulling. Visit www.nwwf08.org for contact numbers if interested in taking part in livestock events.

Waterford World’s Fair will take place Friday through Sunday, July 18 to 20. A few acts have already signed up for the variety show on Saturday.

The karaoke contest has three categories: child, junior and adult. The photo contest has eight categories and three divisions: amateur, junior and professional. A quilt square contest is looking for entries. Contact the number below for details.

The Bridgton Chamber of Commerce will host a potato salad stir-off. Enter your salad it may be the judges choice. Design a home brew, beer, wine or rootbeer bottle label and enter it in one of the three categories.
