SANDOWN, N.H. (AP) – The New Hampshire attorney general’s office says a 20-year-old woman was fatally shot in the back while inside a parked SUV with three friends in Sandown.
The four were in a driveway when one of the group discharged a firearm, striking and killing Deidre Budzyna. She died of a single gunshot wound to the back Thursday night, said James Boffetti, assistant attorney general. Police were called in about 7:30 p.m.
The exact nature of what took place is still being investigated by the New Hampshire State Police.
