LEWISTON – As in previous years, the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul will host a concert series from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. Wednesdays featuring accomplished musicians from Maine and Canada.

The first concert will be July 9 when Maine Music Society Director John Corrie and Scott Vaillancourt, director of music at the basilica, will perform. They will play the organ behind the high altar and the grand organ in the choir loft. Their program includes the antiphonal music of Frescobaldi and Gabrieli along with some more contemporary works.
