The River Valley Chamber of Commerce is restructuring the 2008 Expo. In response to the current economic climate and the raising cost of fuel, the Chamber of Commerce has decided this year’s Expo will not be a fundraising event. The upcoming event, on September 19 and 20, will focus on promoting “shopping local” in support of our surrounding businesses.
The Expo is a two day event designed to showcase businesses within the 10 towns that make up the River Valley Area. This event benefits not only the businesses in the region, but it also educates the community on the availability of products and services in their area. People attend this event from a variety of locations throughout the state and New England. It is estimated that between 2000 and 3000 people attended the 2006 event. The Expo is a wonderful community event, but its success depends on increased participation from all levels: volunteer, booth participants and sponsorships.
Sponsors for the River Valley Expo will receive wonderful advertising benefits according to the package they choose. Packages are flexible and we encourage local businesses to join together to make sponsorships even more affordable. Sponsorships start at $250 and booth rentals start at $125.
If you are interested in sponsoring or participating in this event, please contact Keri at the River Valley Chamber of Commerce, 364-3241, or e-mail [email protected].
