HARRISON – Following the path of classic harmony groups like Boyz II Men and the Temptations but with a modern, urban, post-millennial twist, Ball in the House blends influences from classic R&B to pop, hip-hop and gospel.
The indie band based in Boston is five guys and five voices, that’s it.
They take a cappella to an impressive level, with vocal drums/beatbox and vocal bass under their pop harmonies.
Ball in the House, which averages 250 concert dates a year, will perform Friday, July 11, at Deertrees Theatre.
The group has opened for and performed with Gladys Knight, 98 Degrees, Jessica Simpson, Fantasia, Blondie, The Temptations, Smokie Robinson and Kool & the Gang. It has CDs as well as Cool Whip radio and TV ads.
The concert will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are $16. Call the box office at 583-6747 or log on to www.deertreestheatre.org.
