LEWISTON – United Way of Androscoggin County recently named Jeff Gosselin as chairman of the United Way of Androscoggin County board of directors.
Gosselin is vice president of commercial lending and private banking for Mechanics Savings Bank. With 15 years of commercial and private banking experience, Gosselin was most recently employed as a commercial banking officer/vice president at TD Banknorth in Auburn.
An active community volunteer, Gosselin is involved in coaching youth sports, including soccer, hockey and baseball. In prior years, Gosselin served on the boards of Pathways, Maine Music Society and St. Dominic Regional High School.
As board chairman, Gosselin will play an important civic and philanthropic leadership role in the community. The board of directors establishes policies and direction for United Way, including assisting with the annual fundraising campaign as well as implementing strategy and priorities for the funds invested in the community.
