AUBURN – Hairstylist and Madison Avenue salon manager, Taylor Cote, will lead area stylists and other volunteers in raising funds and hair for Locks of Love, a nonprofit organization that makes and supplies wigs and hair pieces to children who suffer from medical hair loss, on Saturday, July 19, at Festival Plaza.

Anyone who has 10 inches of hair or more to donate will receive a cut and style free. Participation is not limited to hair donation however, as anyone can receive a cut and style for a $20 donation (men and children are $10). The event goal is to collect 100 inches or more of hair.

Throughout the day there will be entertainment, food and raffle items such as a TV, iPod and $50 iTunes card.

The schedule is as follows: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., hair donations/cutting and styling; 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., bounce house; 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., cookout; 1 p.m., comedy by Zachariah Stearn; 2 to 4 p.m., live, acoustic music with Maine’s Loki; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 6:30 p.m., On the Fly DJ featuring music and karaoke; 6:30 p.m., raffle drawings.
