Lewiston’s Planning Board gave its approval Tuesday to a preliminary plan to enlarge a 20-trailer mobile-home park on Sabattus Street. The proposal from Cote Mobile Homes to add 10 new lots to Brookside Court Mobile Home Park was unanimously approved. The proposal had been tabled from the board’s last meeting due to concerns over the grade of an access road. The proposal was placed back on the drawing board by the developers, who reduced the grade of the access road from 14 to 10.7 percent. City ordinance calls for public ways to have a grade no greater than 8 percent but allows the Planning Board to waive that provision if necessary.
