PLYMOUTH, Mass. (AP) – Passengers aboard a fishing boat off the coast of Plymouth were transferred to another ship after its engine room filled with smoke.
The Coast Guard says the 77-foot Capt. John & Son was carrying 36 people about six miles off Gurnet Lighthouse in Plymouth about 8:30 a.m. Monday when the Coast Guard received reports of smoke. The passengers were evacuated and transferred to a sister ship, Tales of the Sea, a whale-watching boat.
There were no reports of injuries.
