LEWISTON – Oxford Networks, headquartered at 491 Lisbon St., recently hired Glen Davis and Gerald Thomas Smart as networks operation center technicians. Both are responsible for providing technical support to new and existing customers with Internet, phone and television issues. They possess customer service backgrounds and experience with Internet protocols.

Davis comes to Oxford Networks from Central Maine Power Co., where he served as a senior support specialist. Prior to that, he was employed as a LAN technician at Advantage Payroll. Davis holds an associate’s degree in business management and accounting. He lives in Lewiston.

Smart comes to Oxford Networks with a basic electronics certification and an associate’s degree in electronics technology. Most recently, he served as a land mobile radio technician for the state and just prior, as an electronics technician 3rd class for the U.S. Navy. He lives in Auburn.
