FARMINGTON – Two young men were charged Monday with theft and criminal mischief following a spree of damage and thefts in the area Thursday night.

About a dozen vehicle owners awoke Friday morning to find deflated tires while other property owners in the Maple Avenue, Main and Front Street areas found items missing from their porches and lawns.

Anthony “TJ” Gage, 19, and Chad Goodhart, 18, both of Farmington, received summonses from police officer Edward Hastings Monday. Both were charged with theft and criminal mischief and will make court appearances on Aug. 21, he added.
