LEWISTON – The magic will return to the Lewiston Public Library at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, when the Amazing Lou will present stage magic from doves and bunnies to mystical feats. The magic is geared to children and stresses audience participation.
The Amazing Lou grew up in Harpswell. He got his start in magic after inheriting his father’s magic props and supplies. Lou’s father, Virgil Ward, was a professional magician most of his adult life. He was also a furniture maker who made his own props, many of which are still used by his son.
Tickets are free and may be picked up in the children’s room. Library patrons with tickets will be seated first. Those without tickets will be seated if there is room.
