Lewiston

• A city vehicle driven by Norman Saindon, 37, of Lewiston, backed into a car driven by Michael L. Paradis, 52, of Lewiston, after both vehicles had stopped in traffic at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday at Bartlett and Walnut streets. According to a police report, Saindon was backing to make room for a tractor-trailer that was turning at the intersection when he struck Paradis’ car. Damage to Paradis’ 2002 Toyota was estimated at $1,200. There was no damage to the 2002 Chevrolet, driven by Saindon and owned by the City of Lewiston.
