Bean supper

CARTHAGE – A bean supper with all the extras, featuring reflector oven biscuits and homemade pies, will be served at 5 p.m. Friday, July 18, by the Carthage Historical Society at the town office Cost is $6 for adults; $3, under 12.

Beedy reunion

KINGFIELD – The 61st annual Beedy reunion for the descendants of Aaron and Violette Dunham Beedy will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, at the home of Richard and Cara Smith, 73 Curtis Brook Road.

Those attending are asked to bring a favorite dish for the potluck dinner at noon, as well as Beedy treasures for the auction. Items for the family scrapbook will be appreciated. For those interested, swim suits are encouraged for a dip in Tuft’s Pond.
